OUM Biz Pitch Challenge 1.0 is an entrepreneurship development and business pitching competition organised by the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), Open University Malaysia (OUM). Open to individuals aged 18 and above, the programme offers aspiring entrepreneurs, students and business enthusiasts an opportunity to develop their business ideas, gain practical guidance and demonstrate their entrepreneurial potential.
The programme features a Business Clinic on 12 December 2026, offering five specialised breakout rooms covering Business Model and Strategy, Marketing and Sales, Finance and Funding, Operations and Growth, and Business Pitching. These sessions provide opportunities for participants to seek guidance, address business challenges and strengthen their proposals with practical insights across key areas of business management.
The experience culminates in the Pitching Competition on 13 December 2026, where participants will have the opportunity to present their business ideas to a panel of judges and compete for a share of RM6,000 in cash prizes.

Any questions?
Any changes to group members must be reported in writing to the Organising Committee as soon as possible. Approval is subject to the Organising Committee's discretion.
Full attendance is mandatory. In case of emergency, contact the Organising Committee BEFORE the Bootcamp to discuss available options.
NO. Intellectual property rights and business ownership remain 100% yours. The Organiser only obtains a limited right to use your presentation materials for programme promotional purposes.
Not at all! All Bootcamp participants gain valuable guidance, an official e-Certificate, and valuable networking connections – this value remains even if you don't reach the Grand Final.

Not really, as the competition is open to individuals aged 18 and above, including aspiring entrepreneurs with business ideas who have yet to start, early-stage entrepreneurs who have recently launched their businesses, and micro-entrepreneurs who are currently operating small businesses.
Participants can prioritise breakout rooms based on their business needs, with the flexibility to explore other rooms or attend all five for broader insights and guidance.
Absolutely! The Business Clinic on 12 December 2026 is a compulsory part of the competition, designed to help participants strengthen their business ideas, gain practical insights and build confidence before taking the stage at the Pitching Competition.
